Eric Tweed at McMenamins Edgefield
I had the pleasure of photographing Eric Tweed this morning at the McMenamin's Edgefield Hotel. Eric has been recording a solo album and I can't wait to hear the mix. If you are out and about in Troutdale I highly reccomend the seafood chowder at the Power House Pub. Perfect on a cold day like today. Thanks Eric for a great morning!

Senior Pictures in West Linn
It's snowing in West Linn and I got a call to photograph a senior portrait session. Wow, we had a lot of fun trading off between shooting and warming up. Anna did a great job despite the cold, which was about ten degrees with the wind chill. Everytime I sit down at my computer to edit the photos of the day I count myself blessed to have such a wonderful job and an amazing group of clients.

Tulum Wedding in Mexico
It's great to be home, but I couldn't have asked for a better trip to Mexico. Thank you to Brendon and Senneh for planning such a beautiful wedding in Tulum, Mexico. From the donkey rides, to the rock formations, to the sunset ceremony, it's hard to pick out only a few images to post today. I highly reccomend the town of Tulum and more specifically Hotel Zamas on the beach where the wedding party spent their time.

McMenamins Grand Lodge
This was my first wedding at McMenamins Grand Lodge in Forest Grove, and it was amazing. A mid-October outdoor wedding was a gamble but we couldn't have asked for better weather. With such a large number of diverse shooting locations I highly recommend the Grand Lodge as a wedding location. We could have spent all day on pictures. Thanks to you Eric and Jenn for such a wonderful day.

Fun in Redland
One of the things I love about photographing on location is finding and exploring new areas. This beautiful farm in Redland is owned by Janae's cousins, and couldn't have been better. Ponds, fields, rocks, barns and old industrial equipment...beautiful. Janae and her friends have been such a great help with getting my photography off the ground this year. Thank you so much for all of your help.

Mary S. Young Park
What a great time with Scott and Sherri in Mary S. Young Park in West Linn. At first I thought that there was just not enough light to shoot in, but I was very wrong. Having to change my schedule a little bit is a fair trade off for the beautiful fall evening light in Oregon. Due to the soft light the black and white photographs are my favorite.

Aerie at Eagles Landing
This was my first wedding at the Aerie Event Venue in Happy Valley Oregon. Wow was it a hot day. Hats off to the groomsmen that wore tuxedos in full sun in 100 degree weather. It sure was a fun wedding and I love the new venue.

Beautiful Washington Wedding
I spent the day in White Salmon Washington photographing Noah and Lora a few weeks ago. What a beautiful day and a wonderful wedding. The setting was in the foothills just outside the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. The contrast of the evergreen fir trees against the tall golden grass make this time of year my favorite for outdoor photography.

Sunset in Beavercreek
Senior pictures are in full swing and the weather couldn't be better. I spent last week shooting in Beavercreek, a small town just South of Oregon City. We had an amazing Oregon sunset and I have been very lucky to have great subjects with awesome personalities. I might just have to schedule all of my portrait sessions at sunset from now on.

Camping in Estacada
We had a great time camping with some friends from our church last weekend. Lockaby Campground outside of Estacada was perfect. Our campsite was right on the river and more than enough room for all 12 of us. Among the troopers was our little friend Iris who, despite a tumble, had a great time.

Weekend of Cancer (Part II)
On Saturday my wife and I ventured out to Molalla for this year's Relay for Life. There were 43 teams determined to walk the track for 24 hours straight to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The goal of this year was $71,000 and they had raised 38 of that before anyone had set foot on the field. My wife was honored to have a team from Colton Elementary School walking in her honor. Her treatment ended 1 month ago...Yeah! What an awesome weekend.

Weekend of Cancer
I had the joy of photographing two cancer benefit events this weekend. The Lymphoma and Leukemia Society's Man and Woman of the Year Gala took place on Friday night. This event raises money for the ongoing research and treatment of blood borne cancers. It was a powerful night with stories of treatment, survival and the hope that this foundation brings to so many lives. Andy Carson of Fox 12 Oregon ran the live auction and the foundation raised a substantial amount of money. It was nice to see my good friend Eric Tweed at the event. I have had a great time in the past photographing his band Sweet City Slang. More on the other Cancer event tomorrow...
My New Blog!
I have been in need of a place to put all of the photos I take that don't fit in with my official photography site. This is also a nice place to give people sneak previews of their projects.
